Preparation
Even a simple hamburger can become a gourmet dish: just use top quality ingredients. Starting with the meat, of course, but cheese is also important: try stuffing your burger with Toma Monte Regale Occelli®, the result will not disappoint you!
These burgers are perfect to serve for an evening with friends, accompanied by a side of chips (or salad, for the healthiest) and a good craft beer.
Procedure
Wash the cherry tomatoes, dry them and cut them into thin slices. Season them with extra virgin olive oil, salt and oregano, mix and set them aside until ready to use, so that they can absorb the flavour.
Also wash some lettuce leaves, cut them into strips and set them aside.
Peel the onions, cut them into thin rings and sauté them in a pan with a little extra virgin olive oil for about 6 minutes. Then transfer them to a bowl and, in the same pan, cook the bacon slices until they become nice and crispy. Set both the onions and the bacon aside in a warm place.
Now prepare the meat for the hamburgers. In a bowl, mix the two minced meats, the beef and the pork. Add salt, pepper and mix everything together.
Using a round pastry cutter, cut out 4 hamburgers more or less the size of the buns you intend to use.
Heat a grill well and arrange the burgers on it: for medium cooking, about 4 minutes per side will be enough.
When cooking is almost complete, cut the Toma Monte Regale Occelli® into fairly thin slices, which you will then arrange on top of the meat (making sure to place at least a couple of slices per hamburger).
Cover the burgers with a lid and finish cooking: this way the cheese will melt almost immediately.
After cutting the sandwiches in half and heating them on a hot griddle, you can start composing them, placing in order: a thin layer of mayonnaise, salad, hamburger with melted cheese, a slice of bacon, a few onion rings and a few slices of cherry tomato. Finally, complete with more mayonnaise to taste (without exaggerating, so as not to cover the taste of the other ingredients).
Serve your gourmet burgers right away!
