Ingredients
- 400 g of short pasta of your choice
- ½ cantaloupe melon
- 100 g of raw ham
- 2 lemons
- 100 g of Crutin® Occelli
- Extra virgin olive oil to taste
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Preparation
For the traditional Ferragosto lunch in the company of friends, try serving this fresh and tasty pasta salad, which combines the classic combination of ham and melon with the sumptuous taste of Crutin®Occelli.
Procedure
After cutting the melon in half, hollow it out with a pipe cleaner to obtain lots of little balls (if you don't have a pipe cleaner, simply cut the melon pulp into pieces). Cut the raw ham into strips. Then collect both ingredients in a large salad bowl.
Squeeze the lemon juice and, after filtering it, add it to the ham and melon. Mix everything well.
Cut the Crutin® Occelli into flakes and set aside on a plate.
Now, cook the pasta in a pot in which you have previously boiled plenty of salted water. Drain it al dente and add it to the dressing, mixing it well with it. Finally, add the Crutin flakes, a sprinkling of pepper to taste and complete with a drizzle of raw extra virgin olive oil. Mix the pasta salad again to combine all the flavors.
Before enjoying it, let it rest and cool in the refrigerator, for at least half an hour.
To enrich the dish you can add, if you want, some roughly chopped rocket, pine nuts or olives. For those who like spicy, we recommend adding a fresh hot chili pepper.
